These are the cards I submitted for Kylie's Crazy Crafters Team Projects - It's such a fun team event where we showcase the wonderful new Stampin' Up! products. Please take a look at what the creative team has come up with and vote for your two favourite cards. I would greatly appreciate your support if you voted for mine hehe. Thank you. :)
I am just in love with watercolouring and the beautiful soft tones it creates. Using white heat embossed and watercolour are my two favorite combinations when making a card. Having the perfect image also defines the card and here I have used the Flowering Field stamp set from the Sale-A-Bration brochure and it's perfect for this watercolour wash technique. I love how it's outlined so you can colour it how you want and colouring is so therapeutic! The flowers are so beautifully illustrated featuring the banksia and wattle. The great thing with this stamp set is that it's so versatile you can have them as individual images or clustered to form a pattern of flowering fields like in both my examples hehe.
The sentiment has been heat embossed in gold on vellum as it just adds that touch of elegance. The sentiment is from First Sight from the Occasions catalogue and it's such a lovely script contrasted with the uppercase font. I used use washi tape and line thread just for extra embellishments and that artsy look.
I hope you like both of my cards and hope you have been inspired to have a go at this beautiful watercolour technique using this simple yet elegant stamp set. DeleteJuana you have made the first card so wonderful, I absolutely love it. your sewing made me laugh, do you need some sewing lessons hahaha. It makes the second card look real country craft. Again Awesome
ReplyDeleteThank you Christine for the lovely compliments. Haha yes you could say that but it's the look these days lol. I wanted that grunge stitched look and tucked in the loose threads so it's neater at least hehe. :)
