There's Gnome Place Like Home - Lawn Fawn Oh Gnome!

Hello papercrafters! I'm excited to share this cute and adorable card using a few new sets from Lawn Fawn's Spring release. I just love the new Oh Gnome! stamp set as well as the Mushroom House die, Mushroom Border and matching Oh Gnome! dies to create a fun gnome house and garden.

I have also used the new Really Rainbow Scallops 6x6 inch petite paper for the sky background. The inspiration of the card came from Lawn Fawn's intro videos and cards using these new sets and was just too irresistible and had to give it a go, as the imagery of gardens and gnomes is a favourites.

The sentiment there's gnome place like home completes the scene with the gnome peeking out from the open door. There are many fun and cute sentiments in the set, most of which are play on words on Gnome and can be used for many occasions.

The images have been stamped in Hero Arts Intense black ink and coloured in Copic markers.

I have used Neenah White Solar White 80lbs cardstock to die cut the Mushroom House and Mushroom Borders and includes the grass. Each piece has been coloured in with Copic markers except for the grass which has been ink blended using Ranger distress inks Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron. Using white cardstock is a great way to customise the colours and have the pieces coordinate. Coloured cardstock can be used to save time and just depends on what you have on hand and preferred look in mind.

The light blue Really Rainbow Scallops patterned paper has been used in the back and adhered onto an A2 side folding card base. The house has been raised with fun foam, using the same die cut of the main house frame to give an even raise. Fun foam has also been used on all the other elements in the foreground to match them to the mushroom house layer including the sentiment.  It makes them all pop and adds dimension to the scene.

This card was so much to fun create and love how customisable the sets are, and coordinates with many other existing Lawn Fawn sets.  This is also my first card to share with Bizzy Becs design team and Bizzy Bec's March Challenge. The theme is 'Anything Goes' and hope it has inspired you to create and enter this month's challenge.

Papercraft Business Challenge #16: Animals theme - Group Hugs

Hello papercrafters, Today I'm sharing this adorable 'Group Hugs' set from Waffle Flower. I just love both the sweet critters and sentiment and is just the perfect set to go with this month's Papercraft Business Challenge #16 - Animals theme. This is bundle set with coordinating dies now come de-tabbed and includes a magnetic sheet, which makes a convenient and perfect package.

I have coloured the images with Copic markers and have done an ink blended background using a Ranger distress inks and a mini round blending tool on Smooth Bristol cardstock. Ranger distress inks used are: Seedless Preserve, Picked Raspberry and Spun Sugar. Water droplets added for extra interest and texture.

I have used the coordinating dies to cut out both the images and sentiment and added fun foam on the back to have an even raise. The sentiment has been stamped and white/gold heat on both white and black cardstock and die cut out using the coordinating dies.

The little hearts and bow on the sheep were added for extra embellishment and to complete the cute scene.

This card was so much fun to create and the images were a lot of fun to colour in. Having the coordinating dies made the whole construction so much quicker and easier.

I cannot wait to see what you create for this month's Papercraft Business Challenge #16.  As always the theme is Anything Goes however creating a project using the Animals theme will get an extra entry to win the cute MFT Lions & Tigers Die-Namics. It will be perfect addition if you already have the stamp set.  Click here to to enter or click on the banner below.
