Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with Georgia Giguere

Hello and welcome to the Crazy Crafters Blog Hop. We are so honoured to have a very special guest Georgia Guiguere from  the U.S. joining us. As part of the hop we get to CASE (Copy and Selectively Edit) any card or project by Georgia.

I have chosen to CASE Georgia's lovely card below using the Avant Garden set that you can earn from free with a purchase of $90 from Sale-A-Bration. Georgia loves the clean and simple look and keeping things simple is always a good approach.

I have used the Avant Garden set as well and couldn't wait to ink up this set. I have taken the outline flower image and created different looks from the multi stamped background pattern to a single flower that is coloured in and fussy cut out to give extra dimension.

Memento Tuxedo Black has been used to stamp the flowers as it's copic friendly and the single cut out flower has been coloured in with Copics. Colours used: Flower: R46, R43, Leaves: G09, G02.

The colour scheme is kept to black, white and pink to match the the Pop of Pink Specialty DSP which is highlighted in the banner.

Sentiment has been white heat emnbossed on the black card stock and die cut out using circle stitched shape framelits. The black makes it pop.

The layout has been based on the Global Design Project #74 - Sketch Challenge.

I hope you enjoyed and found inspiration. Avant Garden set is great floral set that you can create quick and easy floral arrangements with and just add a personalised sentiment to suit the occasion.

Make sure you continue to hop all the way around and see all the amazing inspiration from the Crazy Crafters team. You are going to love what our team have come up with using Georgia's cards. Currently you are at my blog: Juana Ambida - so check the list to see who is up next. Enjoy!

Thank you for stopping by and hope to see you next time. Happy Crafting! :)

Love You Lots - Mini Treat Bags

Hello and welcome. Today's creations have been based on the Global Design Project #74 - Sketch Challenge. Rather than make a card, I thought I'd make a different project and use the Mini Treat bag Thinlits dies set. Not only are these such a cute treat bag to use and make it's also perfect for the layout challenge. I also wanted to incorporate the gorgeous designer series paper from Occasions and Sale-A-Bration and the treat bags shows off both the front and the inside of the patterned dsp very well.

I have made 4 different styles and designs to suit the 4 different critters from the "Love You Lots" set. It's a hostess set that you can earn with Stampin' Rewards.

Here are the 4 mini treat bags:

I find all the critters so adorable and have used a particular patterned paper to suit each one and the coordinating sentiment. All the images have been coloured in with copics and stamped with Memento Tuxedo black as it's copic friendly.

Here are a close of each one...

Both the elephants and mouse are so cute. Fussy cut out and placed the mouse on top of the elephant for added cuteness as well as looking at the sentiment. Clear wink of Stella added for extra shine. Patterned paper is from Cupcakes and Carousels paper stack.

Clear glossing accents have been applied to the the cute frog to add dimension and shine. The green frog becomes the main focus in this  simple black and white linear background.
Patterned paper used is from Inside the Lines DSP can earn free with a purchase of $90.
The use of vellum is perfect and allows you to still see the gorgeous dsp.

Clear glossy accents used on the cute ladybugs and the spotted patterned paper from Sending Love DSP is perfect for colour and theme.

These two cute hedgehogs are just the sweetest in the set. They have been coloured in with Copics and added Wink of Stella for added shine in the end.
Patterned paper used is from Carried Away DSP - can earn free with a purchase of $90.

I hope you have enjoyed these projects and found inspiration. The Mini Treat Bags Thinlits is just a fun set to use and has all the coordinating dies to embellish each treat bag with accents of your choice.

Thank you so much for stopping by and hope to see you next time. Happy Crafting! :)

Whereever You Go - Congratulations on your Retirement

Hello and welcome. Today's card has been made for my father's retirement.

The card features the "Whereever You Go" set from the annual catalogue, as it not only makes for a great masculine card but also has a travel and new adventure theme. The card celebrates his new adventures and will be enjoying his time visiting friends and family around  the world.

The sentiment is taken from "Wild About Flowers" and is also from the annual catalogue.

The card has also been inspired by the Live Love Cards Challenges - Personalised Cards, by incorporating a person's name. I have used the "Large Letters Framelits" dies to die cut Beat's name and inlaid it over the top.  Black fun foam has been used underneath to give an even raise and extra dimension.

The background has been created using Gansai Tambi watercolours where the colours have been built up in layers by heat setting/drying each application and this helps intensify and create more interest.

The images of the bridge and compass has been white heat embossed over the top.

The sentiment has been partly stamp using black Stazon ink and the 'Retirement' has been gold heat embossed to make it stand out.

This card is very simple in design however the inlaid die cutting just adds so much more to the layout. I hope you enjoyed and found inspiration be sure to check out the rest of the creative projects in the challenge and it will be great if you can join in the fun.

Thanks you for stopping by and hope to see you next time. Happy Crafting! :)

Love Letters - Happy Valentine's Day

Hello and welcome. Happy Valentine's Day. I wanted to share this cute card using Lawn Fawn - Love Letters.  It makes the most cutest Valentine's day card. The little birdies are so adorable holding up the cute envelope and fountain pen. The set comes with matching dies that help cut out the images and adds so much dimension. There's also a variety of other sentiments that can be used throughout the year and will surely be making many more.  Copic markers have been used to colour in the images and they are a delight to colour in.

The card also features additional sets from Stampin' Up! including the Diagonal Stripes background and Sweet and Sassy framelits for the heart window. The blushing Bride (pink) is a shaker window using the Sprinkles embellishments and are such a colourful mix of shaker goodies.

The soft sky background is just a die cut heart window recessed in with silver heart sequins. All the images are mounted using foam dimensionals.

The Happy Valentine's Day sentiment has been stamped in both Pool Party and Blushing Bride to coordinate with the Diagonal Stripes background.

Both cards have been entered in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge; Cute theme.

What a fun challenge to enter and be able use this cute combination of sets.

Thank you for visiting and hope to see you next time. Happy Crafting. :)

Kylie Bertucci's International Highlights - Top Ten Winners Blog Hop

Hello and welcome. Today we are being highlighted internationally by the lovely Kylie Bertucci. This blog hop is the Top Ten winners from last month's Travel theme blog hop and feel so fortunate to be taking part. There is no theme for this hop and just showcasing any a current Stampin' Up! product. I was stumped at first as it was so open and kind of spoilt for choice but  have taken inspiration from The Global Design Project #73 - Colour Challenge. Another wonderful event that the wonderful Kylie organises. She is just so amazing to do all this for us.

The bold and bright colours led me to use the Custom Tee  bundle from the Occasions catalogue on page 30. The shirts in the set was a great way to play and experiment with the colours. I have also used a coordinating stamp set called 'Designer Tee" from Sale-A-bration that you can earn for FREE with a purchase of $90. It's the perfect accompaniment to create a designer tee stylistically in the end hehe.

Here are  the colours: Daffodil Delight, Emerald Envy and Watermelon Wonder.

Be sure to check out the gallery of amazing card entries for more inspiration and take part in the fun. Global Design Project #GDP073 - Colour Challenge.

I have done a fun watercolour wash background with the ink refills and the large tip aqua painter brush on Arches smooth watercolour paper. Each application has been built up by heat setting it first with a heat tool so that the colours don't get too muddy. It has then been mount on Basic Black cardstock and helps make the colours all stand out.

The custom tee has been die cut on whisper white card stock using the stitched shapes framelits. To achieve the rectangle, the square stitched shape framelit has been partially die cut twice and extend to get the rectangle shape. This negative framing in white helps break up the busy background and allows space for the eye to rest. The whole panel has been mounted on black fun foam to give it an even raise and die cut in the same position so it all lines up and leave a nice black edge around the shirt.

The paint splashes is from Swirly Bird and helps to tie in the colours to the white panel frame. It's also been white embossed to give it that extra interest. The sentiment, "I Think I Can" with the little steam engine graphic from Designer Tee is just delightful and have added the coordinating sentiment, "I know you could" by white heat embossing on black cardstock to make it pop. It makes for great positive message to the recipient to believe in yourself and would make wonderful encouragement card.

The Custom Tee bundle along with the Designer Tee set is just fabulous together and allows you to make many cards for different occasions and dress it up in any style that takes your fancy or the recipient in mind.

I hope you have enjoyed the card and found inspiration, I would love to hear your thoughts.

Thank you for visiting and hope to see you next time. Happy Crafting! :)

Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with special guest Shannon Lane

Hello and welcome to the Crazy Crafters Blog Hop. We are so honoured to have a very special guest Shannon Lane from Alberta, Canada joining us. Shannon is part of the Artisan team and super talented. As part of the hop we get to CASE (Copy and Selectively Edit) any card or project by Shannon.

I have chosen to CASE Shannon's cute and adorable 'Tasty Trucks' card below. I love the repeating stamping of tacos for the background and makes a great custom dsp. The design is so fun and modern and the watercolouring is gorgeous.

To follow on from the repeating background in a subtle way, I have chosen to use the clouds from Up & Away thinlits dies and team it with the Moon Baby set . These two sets go hand and hand with the baby floating down through the clouds with the cute umbrella.

The die cut away clouds look almost inverted with the panel mounted on dimensionals for something  a little different.

I have used Gorgeous Grunge for the splatters by white heat embossing them. For added interest I have used clear glossy accents for the umbrella.

I hope you have enjoyed and found inspiration. The Moon Baby is a wonderful set and can't to make more cards using the other images.

Make sure you continue to hop all the way around and see all the amazing inspiration from the Crazy Crafters team. You are going to love what our team have come up with using Shannon's cards. Currently you are at my blog: Juana Ambida - so check the list to see who is up next. Enjoy!

Basket Bunch - Many Mini Thanks

Hello and welcome. Today's card has been inspired by two card challenges: Colour INKspiration #02 Challenge and the Global Design Project #72 Case the Designer - Krista Frattin.

The banner below with the gorgeous succulents is the colour inspiration and all five colours have to be used in the project. They are, Wisteria Wonder, Soft Sky, Mint Macaron, Whisper White and Garden Green.

This combination was quite challenging at first, but I find that having the physical Stampin' Up! ink pad colours in front of me helps get a visual feel for the colours and how they could be used. Let the colours speak to you so to speak hehe.

The shades of green with the soft sky has been translated to creating this cute grass field scene with the little bunny and chick. The Basket Bunch Bundle is one of my favourites in the Occasions catalogue, as it's just cuteness overload. It's perfect for colouring in to suit any style and comes with matching dies that makes it even easier to use.

The layout has been inspired Krista's gorgeous card above and have interpreted the leaves for the lace ribbon. The base card front has been embossed using the Falling Petals embossing folder and just gives a subtle tone on tone textured interest.

To create this scene, I have used several wonderful sets from the Occasion catalogue including:

The Stitched Shapes framelits used to create the background base panel as well as the garden green grass. The grass has been created using the oval stitched frame to get that cute arch/hill and has that lovely stitched border edge. The sides has been trimmed to fit within the frame. Great way to get more use of the dies.

The Mint Macaron grass has been die cut twice using the grass die from the Basket Builder framelits.

The Whisper White clouds have been die cut using the Up & Away thinlits.

The cute mini envelope and scallop insert is created using the Love Notes framelits.
Wisteria has been used from the envelope and sentiment.

The sentiments used is from 'Suite Sentiments' set and was and perfectly coordinate with the Love Notes framelit dies. The Many Mini Thanks has been white heat embossed.
The insert in the envelope can be taken out and adds that great interactive quality to the card.

The little leaves blowing in the wind is from the Basket Bunch bundle and has been coloured in with Mint Macaron using an aqua painter.

The little chick has also been watercoloured in with Soft Sky.

The Soft Sky has been ink blended using a round mini ink blending tool and the soft ombre look adds a special touch.

I hope you have enjoyed and found inspiration. Both card challenges was certainly great way to get started. Having both colour and layout to work with is a bonus, so why not check out both these challenges and have fun and take part. The supplies are available on my online store and listed below.

Thank you so much for stopping by and hope to see you next time. Happy Crafting!
