Hello and welcome to our first Papercraft Business Challenge for 2018! The is the second challenge and the theme is Anything Goes with an option 'Something new' for an extra entry to win the prize! This can be a new product, a new technique, new baby etc. Anything that is new to you! Click here to join in the fun.
For something new, I'm excited to share a couple of new product releases from Lawn Fawn and they are the 'Woodland Critter Huggers' and the coordinating 'Stitched Gift Card Pocket' Lawn cuts dies. They are so adorable and have created the examples on the packaging of the cute fox, deer and raccoon. Which ones are your favourite?
I have created four cute and unique cards that also doubles as gift card holders, these three critters is just as an example on what can be created with these awesome new dies. The great thing with creating these cards, is that all the hard work is done for you hehe. There is no stamping or colouring, it is all die cutting even the sentiments, so something new that I don't usually do in terms of cardmaking. The only stamping would be a stamped sentiment inside though as an option but very minimal. The die cut sentiments on the card is using the 'Scripty Hello Lawn Cuts' dies and the fun bold script just compliments the cute and happy critters.
Lawn Fawn has a guide sheet on how create and assemble each critter on their website that you can download for reference as well as a video tutorial. I have also attached them on here and you can click here to see the wonderful video tutorial. There are so many critters that you can create and is all up to your creativity and imagination as to what you can create with these amazing dies.
Here are the three amigos, they are standing up and converted onto a top folding card that measures: 2 1/4" x 3 1/2" in the same coordinating colour cardstock respectively.
Cardstock used are Stampin' Up! colours that I have on hand and they are; Pumpkin Pie, Whisper White, Basic Grey, Soft Suede, Basic Black, Crumb Cake and Powder Pink.
The green patterned paper is Lawn Fawn's Perfectly Plaid Collection Rainbow 12x12 sheet called Sour Apple. I have used this on the card base as the background, the leaves on the die cut flowers and also as a decorative feature on a sample gift card. The actual name of the patterned paper has been used to make the most of all the lovely papers used.
Here is the back of the cards showing the gift card holders and the Perfectly Plaid patterened paper that shows the name. It makes a great decorative gift card design. The gift card holder has been created using the coordinating 'Stitched Gift Card Pocket Lawn Cuts dies and is designed to perfectly fit behind the Woodland Critter Huggers. The hugs die cut sentiments is part of the Stitched Gift Card holder die.
Don't you just love the raccoon's eyes? Using googly eyes just adds instant fun and extra personality and brings out the character to the critter. You could totally personalise each critter and add even more creativity to them. I hope you've enjoyed these projects and found inspiration. These dies are just fabulous and will make a great addition to your crafty supplies. They are also perfect to making use of any left over cardstock or scraps you may have. I have the supplies listed below if you would like to make these for yourself. I hope you join in the fun challenge and look forward to seeing what you create.
