Color Layering Betta Fish - Pop-Up Shadow Box card

Hello papercrafters! Today I'm sharing a fun pop-up shadow box card using the Color Layering Betta Fish set along with Goldfish in a Bowl die from Hero Arts.

The inspiration for this card is from Jennifer McGuire's pop-up shadow box card using the same sets. Love how she has engineered the card and looks awesome displayed. I have altered it to have the folds inverted rather than have them showing at the sides.

The set is so much fun and the colouring options are endless. I have followed Jennifer McGuire's colouring technique of using a dauber to apply the separate colours on the Betta fish.
Hero Arts inks used: Summer Sky, Deep Ocean, Orchid, Bubble Gum and Rose Madder.
The images have been stamped with Hero Arts Intense Black ink.

The water plants have been coloured in with Copic markers

Ranger distress oxide ink - Peacock Feathers used for the background. Added water droplets for soft water bubbles textures. I have masked off the top part the bowl to contain the ink blending and have a water line.

The sentiment as well as the air bubbles has been white heat embossed and love the pun.

I have also added an action wobbler on the back of the betta fish as per Jennifer McGuire's example. It's hard to see on the photo but so much fun to flick and watch it shake in person.

Just so pleased how the card turned out and all folds flat for easy posting. This card will be sent as a thank you card. The card has been created for this month's Bizzy Bec's Challenge. I hope you join us for this month's challenge. The Color Layering Betta Fish set is available to pre-order from Bizzy Bec's Store.

Thanks so much for stopping by, 'til next time - Happy Crafting! :)
