Papercraft Business December Challenge #13: Merry Christmas

Hello papercrafters! I'm excited to share these new fun Christmas cards using a combination of Hero Arts sets both old and new. I just love combining sets to give them more fun and interest. The sets I have used are: Holiday Foliage Bold Prints, Color Layering Poinsettia bundle, Holly Days Stamp & Die bundle and Fluffy Stockings Stamp & Cuts.

It's also that time for another Papercraft Business Challenge where the inspirations for these cards came about. The theme for this month is Christmas - as it's just around the corner. Creating a card or project with a Christmas theme will get an extra entry in winning the prize which is the cute Peaceful Tilda Stamp.  Click here to enter the challenge.

This fun card features the cute puppy and kitten from Fluffy Stockings stamp & cuts set. It's a great set with the coordinating dies included.

The background has been white heat embossed on SU Garden Green cardstock and have ink blended using Pine Needles Ranger distress inks on the top for an ombre effect. I have also trimmed it down to leave a white border.

The mounted foliage is from Holly Days stamp & die bundle and coloured with copic markers.

The sentiment is from Fluffy Stockings set and has been white heat embossed on a strip of SU Real Red cardstock and mounted with foam dimensionals to acts as a mantle.

This next card features the new Color Layering Poinsettia bundle, combined with Holly Days Stamp & Die bundle and Holiday Foliage Bold Prints. Base card stock is SU Garden Green to set the tone of the foliage and Real Red cardstock used one again for the main sentiment to make it pop.

The Color Layering Poinsettia bundle is so much fun to use and comes complete with ink cubes pack!

The final card uses both the new Color Layering Poinsettia bundle and Holiday Foliage Bold Prints.

This is a special card as it took considerable time (labour of love) due to colouring in the background foliage. It's was well worth doing as it's such a stunning image and design.

Layering the poinsettia and sentiment over the top completes the card and love how it turned out.

I hope these cards have inspired you to create some fun Christmas cards and can't wait to see your awesome creations in this month's challenge!  Thanks so much for stopping by, till next time - Happy Crafting!

I have also entered these cards in both these fun challenges:

Papercraft Business Challenge #12 - Happy Tidings

Hello papercrafters! It's time for another Papercraft Business Challenge, time flies when you're having fun.  We have a fun theme this month and it's 'Christmas Animal' as an option. The special prize is the cute Winter Alpaca stamp from Lawn Fawn. Entries using the Christmas Animal  option theme will get an extra entry into the draw to win this fun prize.

I have used Hero Arts - My Monthly Hero Arts October 2018 Kit, as it has the cute critters all working together to decorate the Christmas tree - how adorable is that?

All the images in this kit are just a delight to colour in and the coordinating dies makes it so easy to cut out the images to create many fun layered scenes.

I first stamped all the images with Simon Says Stamp Intense Black ink as it's Copic friendly and  the images are coloured with copic markers for quick colouring creating depth with simple gradients and shades. The coordinating dies were then used to cut out the images except for the ornaments that have been hand cut as there are no dies for these smaller images. They are pretty easy to cut by hand as they're small and an simple shapes.

Once all the images have been cut out, arranging them to create a scene was part of the fun.

The background has been ink blended with Ranger Distress Oxides Faded Jeans and Broken China using a round mini ink blending tool on Strathmore Bristol smooth cardstock.

I have masked off the bottom edge with a post it note to leave a white space denoting the ground/snow. I added a spray of water droplets over the ink blended background for a snowflake effect. Just love this effect using these fabulous inks.

Both the sentiments and snowflakes have been white heat embossed afterwards when the ink background is completely dry.

The animals and tress decorations have been mounted up with foam to give them a raise and adds so much more dimension to the scene.

For added shine and sparkle I have used Clear Wink of Stella and Clear Glossy accents on both the ornaments as well as the lamp post light.

The front artwork panel has been adhered to an A2 top folding base using Neenah cardstock 110lbs.

I hope you have enjoyed this card and found inspiration to create a fun Christmas card using any adorable animal or critter. I look forward to seeing all your fabulous entries in this month's challenge. Thanks so much for stopping by, until next time - Happy Crafting!

Papercraft Business Challenge #11 - Fall is in the air...

Hello papercrafters. It's time for another Papercraft Business Challenge and I'm delighted to share this inspired Fall themed card featuring one of the new add on sets called Autumn Moon from Hero Arts. The theme for this month is Fall or Halloween and have gone with the Fall theme. Just love the colours of Fall and have created a sunset ombre effect ink blending using Ranger distress inks.

The background image used is the Patterned Lantern bold prints, another add on set from Hero Arts and have white heat embossed it for an ink resist blending. It's such great background stamp and love the Asian inspired images from the Hero Arts add on sets.

The foliage and lanterns have been coloured in using Zig Clean Color markers with a light watercolour blending effect.  I have used the coordinating dies from the set and have foam mounted the upper branches and lanterns to give dimension.

The sentiment has been white heat embossed on vellum and adds to the light and subtle effect that ties in with the background. The front panel has been mounted onto fun foam and adhered to the A2 top folding card base that measure 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 inches.

Thanks so much for visiting and hope you enjoyed the card. The sets used are amazing and are so versatile. I hope you can join in the card challenge fun this month. Creating a Fall or Halloween themed card will get you an extra entry in winning the prize and that is the cute 'Flat Bottom Cloud Die' from My Favorite Things.

Papercraft Business Challenge #10 - Many Thanks

Hello crafters. Apologies for the long absence. I've been missing in action for a while lol due to work and am happy to finally get the chance to get back to some papercrafting fun yay! To kickstart, I'm delighted to share this fun Thank you card using both new and old sets from Lawn Fawn for this month's Papercraft Business challenge #10 - Thank You theme.

Lawn Fawn's Happy Harvest set with the 'Many Thanks' sentiment seemed like an appropriate choice to use for this card challenge theme. I couldn't wait to have a play with this set and just love all the cute images especially the scarecrow. The images have been coloured in with Copic Markers and have been cut out using Brother Scan n cut machine.

Having an Autumn themed set,  I have used the Perfectly Plaid Fall 6x6 inch petite patterned paper for the base card panel and the background scenery. The cololurs of the patterened paper help with the overall colour palette to used on the images. Card base used is Kraft cardstock and is just a great complimentary earthy colour for the card theme.

The new reveal wheel interactive die and the coordinating Reveal Wheel sentiments are just amazing together, it's such a fun way to  display several greetings for the occasion. There are also additional add-on dies that are available to frame the window greeting. I have  used the Reveal Wheel Speech Bubble Add-on die which works perfectly with the scarecrow and having the white speech bubble frame helps the greeting stand out.

Here's the card with Many Thanks in several languages.

Here's a closer look at the card with the individual greetings in English, Spanish, German and Mandarin.

Inside the card I have added in the image of the cart with Pumpkins from Happy Harvest and added the sentiment from Reveal Wheel sentiments.

This card was a lot of fun to create. Here's a link to the video tutorial from Lawn Fawn showing how to make a card with the Reveal Wheel dies and add-ons.  Both these dies can really transform the card and coordinates with many sets new and old, just let your imagination soar with the potential that can be created with these dies.

I can't wait to see what you create with this month's challenge using the Thank You theme or the general Anything Goes theme.

By entering a card using a Thank You theme will get an extra entry to win the prize stamp set 100% Love from Waffle Flower. Click here to join in the fun!

Thank you so much for stopping by and till next time - Happy Crafting! :)
