Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with special guest Valerie Moody

Hello and welcome to the Crazy Crafters Blog Hop. We are so honoured to have a very special guest Valerie Moody from the UK joining us. As part of the hop we get to CASE (Copy and Selectively Edit) any card or project by Valerie.

I have chosen to CASE Valerie's cute and adorable 'Tasty Trucks' card below. I love the simplicity of this card and yet it's so effective. It's such a versatile set and looks great with any sentiment or stamp set.

I have been having so much fun playing around with this set and great for colouring in.
You can get this set for free from Sale-A-bration with any purchase over $90 and it's just fabulous.

I have taken the colour inspiration from Valerie's card with the Pool Party and have used it in a simple yet bold way, showing the creativity you can achieve with this set.

The main feature in this card is the  circles using the large polka dot embossing folder as well as the Stitched shapes circle framelit. I have cropped it to give it something different and play with the layout. The Tasty Truck has been coloured in using copic markers and what a joy it is to colour in using this cute image.

This card uses the 'Enjoy' sentiment from Everyday Tags and just love this layout getting the most out of the stamp set. The Tasty Truck has been stamped onto Pool Party carstock and have fussy cut it out. The windows have been stamped on whisper white cardstock and also cut out and mounted on top. The wheels have been punched out using the Owl punch builder, a tip from another Stampin' Up! demonstrator, however, I forgot her name sorry but thank you so much for this great tip.

The next card is simple again but has technique using ink blending and white heat embossing. I have used  Stampin' Up! watercolor pencils here with a blender pen to smooth out the colours. It's all on one layer too and mounted with fun foam for an even raise. The creativity is endless with this set.

I hope you have enjoyed and found inspiration. I would love to hear you thoughts. The Tasy Trucks is a wonderful set to have with and you'll have endless fun with colouring in and make the most cutest cards ever hehe.

Make sure you continue to hop all the way around and see all the amazing inspiration from the Crazy Crafters team. You are going to love what our team have come up with using Valerie's cards. Currently you are at my blog: Juana Ambida - so check the list to see who is up next. Enjoy!

Thank you so much for stopping by and hope to see you next time. Happy Crafting! :)

Kylie's International Stampin' Up! Blog Highlight - Theme Travel

Hello and welcome. Thanks for coming to my blog today. We are being highlighted internationally by Kylie Bertucci and you are able to VOTE for my project. The top ten winners will get to be part of an international blog hop so please vote for my project. You can do that here: http://bit.ly/KyliesJanHighlights

Our theme for this highlight is Travel. What places we can see and enjoy. Or maybe you know friends that are going away and you want to give them a card.

The first card I made was using  the High Tide set from the new Occasions catalogue. It's a sample card and was a lot fun playing with the set and have repeated the images to see what it would look like. However, I then changed over to the Annual catalogue and decided to use both One Wild Ride and Whereever You Go sets as both these sets have a travel theme.

Here they are...

I have made a window card using window sheets attached and paneled together with cardstock. The motorbike and bridge have been stamped with black Stazon ink on the window sheet.

The sentiments of both sets are perfect for the travel theme. One Wild Ride has a coordinating punch called Best Badge for the banner and have used the Tags and Labels framelits for the Whereever You Go card.

Touches of clear and white heat embossing used on each card to unify it together with the inside.

Inside the card:

Ink blending has been done with white heat embossing of the additional images of the compass and the paint splatter from Gorgeous Grunge. I also tried out for the first time the Ranger mini distress inks and they are fabulous as these inks are great for techniques as you can see the water droplets on the blue background.

This is such a great sentiment that we can all aspire to. I hope you have enjoyed and found inspiration. The supplies I have used are listed below and are available on my online store if you live in Australia. Thank you so much for visiting my blog today make sure you head over to Kylie's blog - http://bit.ly/KyliesJanHighlights to vote for my project. I would love to be chosen to do an international blog hop again. Any questions please ask. :)

These cards have also been entered in the Global Design Project #GDP070 - Sketch Challenge, where the layout has been inspired by. Please check out the creative projects and be inspired to use the sketch challenge and enter your card - it's so much fun! :)

Oh So Succulent bundle - Enjoy!

Hello and welcome. Today's card features the 'Oh So Succulent' bundle from the new Occasions catalogue. This bundle is so gorgeous and can make the most amazing succulent garden either as a card or a 3D project. I was greatly inspired to try out the wonderful colours from the first official Colour Inkspiration challenge. Check out the summery bright pastel colours.

I have used all 6 colours and the Oh So Succulent bundle was a perfect match to use all these lovely colours.  The Colour INKspiration is on facebok take part and be inspired. You can upload your creation here.

I have made a shaker card using both the stitched shapes circles and layering circles framelits. The frame is created by nesting both framelits so that the faux stitched is showing. The frame edge also allows to cover up the foam strips underneath. Tempting Turquoise cardstock has been used in the background and has been die cut using the matching layering circles framelits.

The goodies inside, are a combination of silver and gold sequins from the metallic assortment and the clear mica flakes as a filler and acts as a sand base for the succulents display hehe.

The sentiment used is from 'Everyday Tags' also from the new Occasions catalgoue. I love the font and this sentiments says it all, the colours and the occasion that the card is made for - to Enjoy!

I have stamped the sentiment using cotton white opaque Stazon ink, just like black Stazon ink and is perfect for stamping in window sheets. It doesn't give a crisp impression on the window sheet and left some gaps and have later filled them in using a white gel pen.

The succulents are such a delight to use and it's a two step stamping and being a photolymer stamp makes is to place and line up. It also has the coordinating Succulent framelits dies which makes it a breeze to cut out. I have used Memento tuxedo black ink for the outlines and have used all the colours from the Colour Inkspirations: Blushing Bride, Mint Macaron, Sweet Sugarplum, So Saffron, Peekaboo Peach and Tempting Turquoise. It's so quick and easy just stamp all the images first and die cut them all out. Taking a photo of the layout also helps to later assemble them back together again, but as you can see the creative process can take you to other places...

This is the final card.

Inside the card, I have used the Happy Birthday sentiment from the bundle and have white heat embossed it on Tempting Turquoise cardstock and die cut the fish tail end using the banners framelits. The succulent garden formation added to best advantage, utilising all the colours in the challenge.

I hope you have enjoyed and found inspiration. I would love to hear your thoughts. The Oh So Succulent bundle is truly amazing and a delight to use. It's such a versatile set and the creativity is endless. By purchasing the set as a bundle you save 10% and purchasing an additional item such as the Everyday Tags set for example to the value of $90, you can earn a FREE Sale-A-Bration item. Such a great deal! The supplies are listed below and are available on my online store.

Nailed It bundle - Thanks for always building me up.

Hello and welcome. Today's cards features the Nailed It Bundle from the new 2017 Occasions catalogue. I have also used the Urban District set and a strip of Urban Underground patterned paper as they compliment this bundle very well.

I couldn't wait to have a play with both these sets after seeing the colour challenge from the Global Design Project #GDP069. The colours in the challenge, are perfect for this bundle especially Delightful Dijon and Silver. The free choice colour,  I went with is black although that is considered a neutral, I have also used Smoky Slate for the metal sections of the images.

This is the first card I created using the Global Design colour challenge. I have created a background using the images in a collage pattern making use of the colours.

The handles of the tools has been watercoloured in using an aqua painter and have used Arches smooth 300 gsm watercolor paper. Delightful Dijon was used and black stazon ink used for the initial stamping of the images.

The screws and nut has been die cut using the Build It framelits dies in the bundle using silver foil paper.

The thin strip patterned paper is from the Urban Underground specialty designer series paper.

I have used the "Happy Father's Day", sentiment to showcase the hexagon frame from the matching dies in the bundle.

The metal sections have been coloured in using Copic markers in cool grays.

The second card uses the same layout, however I have used copic markers exclusively to colour in the images. The smaller screws and nuts have been silver heat embossed. Memento Tuxedo black ink is recommended with colouring using copic markers.

I love the steel ruler die from this bundle and have die cut it out using silver foil paper and it just looks like the real thing. It also make a great border accent on the card.

The sentiment from the Urban District set helps make this a general theme and to give as a Thank you or a Congratulations card.

The inside of the card are the same for both cards. Copic markers have been used to colour in the tools and Smoky Slate for the screw and nut. The sentiment "Thanks for always building me up", is from the bundle.

I hope you have enjoyed and found inspiration,  I would love to hear your thoughts. Both the Nailed It bundle and Urban District set are a lot of fun to use and perfect for creating masculine themed cards. Purchasing it as a bundle, saves you 10% and purchasing either the Urban District stamp set or Urban Underground designer paper will qualify you to get a FREE item from Sale-A-Bration. We all love a free stamp set right? All the supplies I have used are listed below and are available on my online store if you're in Australia.

Make sure to check out the rest of the creative projects from the Global Design Project for more inspirations and also take part as you can become a guest designer if your card is selected.

Thank you so much for stopping by and hope to see you next time. Happy Crafting! :)

Thank You So Very Much for Beautiful You

Hello and welcome. I was so thrilled to find out that my cards came first in Kylie's International Stampin' Up! Blog Highlight. I wanted to give a BIG Thanks to everyone who voted for my cards and I'm so grateful and honored. To celebrate in style... I made this card to show my appreciation.

I've added the Thank you card with the original cards.

Please click here to see the orginal post.

The Beautiful You is teamed up with So Very Much.

The pairing of these stylish sets are just perfect and does not take much time at all.

In keeping with the style of the Beautiful You collection, I have used similar colours for the lady but this time have coloured her in copic markers and later went over in Prisma colour pencils for shading.

The top part of her has been fussy cut and the straight line adds contrast against the black panel. The Melon Mambo strip helps to accentuate the line and keeps in the style of the original design.

The sentiment 'So very much', has been stamped right under her hands and have stamped the lipstick mark from Sealed with Love set. It's been stamped in Melon Mambo to tie in with the Melon Mambo panel strip. Don't you just love it?

I have also added another version of the 'So very much' in black reverse (white heat emboss) under her to neaten up the edges and gives her a platform in a way.

The 'So Very Much' set is from Sale-a-bration. It's FREE with any purchase over $90. For example you could order the Beautiful You in clear mount with Sealed with Love and little something extra from the clearance rack and you'll earn the So Very Much set for free!

It's a wonderful set and perfect for making quick and easy Thank you cards.

The large scripted font already fills half the card and by adding an appropriate sentiment of your choice you've already completed the card front. It can be paired up with any other sets or on its own.

Thank you so very much once again for those who voted - your support means so much. I'm looking forward to taking part in another blog highlight and hope you to win your votes once again. :)
