Falling Flowers and Better Together - Wedding Card

Hello and welcome back! Today's card has been inspired by Jessie Holton's newly created card blog challenge called - Case This! Challenge #001.  It's such a great idea and so much fun to take part. Please take a look at Jessie's post for the first challenge and see the other creative entries. Hopefully you'll also be inspired to take part as well.

Below is the card to CASE that is (Copy and Selectively Edit) or (Copy and Share Everything) and I have taken the colours and stamp set that Jessie has used on her card.

I just love the florals and softness of Jessie's card and have emulated that on mine.
The Falling Flowers bundle has been used to create both the stamped and die cut flowers as well as create the custom made white heat embossed resist background in the style of the Irresistibly Floral DSP that Jessie has used.

The organic flowing vines have been white heat embossed and have ink blended So Saffron and Pool Party inks using a mini round ink blending tool applicator from Ranger as this always gives me the best results. I didn't blend all the way as these colours are complementary colours and will get muddy when blended whilst wet.

The set does not come with any sentiments and I have used the Wedding sentiments from "Better Together" as the elegant flowers and flowing vines suited the theme.

The sentiment has been white heat embossed on a vellum panel and I have tuck the edges behind the front panel as this gives a professional finish and hides the adhesive.

I then added the two flower from Falling Flowers, that have been white heat embossed on whisper white card stock and coloured in by ink blending using Flirty Flamingo and So Saffron inks. Ink Blending is a great way to get an instant colour without having the necessary card stock as all the inks and cards coordinate.

I have then added two White Perfect Accents on the flowers for a finishing touch.

The gorgeous large die cut flower from the coordinating Mayflowers framelits has been made into a window panel that you can see through to the inside of the card to give it something extra special.

A window sheet has been adhered behind the front panel and the original die cut has been adhered on top and inlaid. I have die cut another flower in Pool Party card stock  and have adhered this on the back to cover up the adhesives pictured below.

The same colour and theme has been brought to the inside of the card. I have flipped the colour over so that So Saffron is on top and contrasts with the front window panel.

The sentiments has been white heat embossed and they are to separate images - don't they just look great? I have deepened the So Saffron inks with the ink blending so that the sentiment can stand out more. Notice I didn't blend the colours to avoid them from getting muddy and provides a space to write a personal message in there. The two die cut flowers have been mounted on with Stampin' dimensionals. I wanted to keep the inside pretty flat so that it doesn't affect the front when posted in the mail.

I hope you have enjoyed my card and found inspiration. The Falling Flowers bundle is such a wonderful set and allows you to create your own custom made backgrounds as well as using the framelits in a creative way. It's also perfect to coordinate with other sets too.  By purchasing it as a bundle you save 10%.

Thank you so much for stopping by and hope to see you next time. Happy Crafting! :)
