Seaside Shore card in a box

Happy Friday! It is with great anticipation to showcase today's card featuring the Seaside Shore set as a card in a box! It's been inspired by this week's Global Design Project - Nautical theme challenge and a great excuse to showcase this fun set.

Please be sure to check out the Global Design Project #47 Theme Challenge. There are so many awesome cards by the design team and hopefully you'll be inspired to join in the fun!

I have made a card in a box, as I love the pop up scene with the images and makes it so much fun to have the fishes swimming/floating. As you can see, it's all been fussy cut, but well worth it! The fishes have been popped up with a strip of window sheet for height and it's see through so it blends with the background.

The base card is Dapper Denim and I have used the gorgeous waves/ocean pattern from By the Shore designer series paper and it gives a perfect backdrop for the sea life.

The fishes have been stamped in the coordinating colours from the By the Shore dsp and they are, Dapper Denim, Calypso Coral and Soft Sky.  The seaweed has been stamped in Mint Macaron and I have added ink blending shading to give it a gradient finish as well as covering up the white edges.

The sentiment has been white heat embossed on a die cut circle using the new Layering Circles framelits dies. I have also ink blended the background shading using a combination of Soft Sky and Dapper Denim inks. This panel has been mounted with dimensionals to give it that raise.

Both the anchor and seashells have been copper heat embossed and gives it that pop.

Here is the back of card in a box. I have placed the fishes to best advantage to leave some room to write a personal message. I have added Bermuda Bay bakers twine for embellishment on the copper heat embossed anchor to add to the nautical theme.

Here is the card folded flat and fits perfectly with Stampin' Up!® medium and C6 envelopes.

I hope you have enjoyed and found inspiration. It's a lot of fun making this card in a box and creating the sea life scene - just brings the images to life hehe.

I have also entered this card in a box in our Crazy Crafters Project Highlights. Please be sure to check out the creative projects and remember to vote for your favourites.

Thank you so much for stopping by and hope to see you again soon. Cheers! :)
