Hello! It's so exciting to take part once again in this month's Crazy Crafters blog hop. We're honoured to have a special guest Tracy May! As part of the blog hop we are CASEing one of her cards and that is "Copy And Selectively Edit". She's so creative and talented, that it made it hard to choose a card project as they are all so wonderful!
There was one card that I loved and it's the Pop of Paradise and Tracy has made so many beautiful examples of this fabulous set. Here is the card that I have chosen to CASE.
I also love this card too, as it's so artistic and creative!
What a great inspiration to draw from and excited to have a play with the Pop of Paradise set.
I have also been inspired by this week's Pals Paper Arts PPA308 - Sketch by Ann Schach. Tracy's first card is almost similar and I have adapted my card design to suit both the sketch challenge and Tracy's gorgeous cards.
Please check out the creative projects over at Pals Paper Arts PPA308 and hopefully you'll be inspired to join in the fun too! :)

Here is my card... adapted and made into a shaker card for a fun and creative element.
There is so much detail in this card and have combined all the elements from Tracy's two card inspirations. I have used ink blending, watercolouring, and a combination of white/gold/clear heat emboss to make this card literally "POP" - of Paradise.
I have also used Gorgeous Grunge set for the artsy ink splatters that I have utilised to create the texture effect on my card. I have white heat embossed it as it's perfect for the ink and watercolour background.
The colours I have used are Flirty Flamingo rightly named and Peeka Boo peach to give a sunset, summer look with gold tones. The ink blending was a great way to create this blended background. Using the mini round blending tool from Ranger, gives the best results with seamless blending.
The background in the shaker window is taking that gorgeous ink splatter effect that Tracy has done. I wanted to extend the feathers of the two white heat embossed flamingos and have the back/feathers spraying out in an abstract manner yet keeping that artsy look. To create the effect I used the smooshing effect, using acetate and diluted ink and smearing it on to watercolour paper. I have then gone over with a brush to do the linear effect with Peekaboo Peach to represent the feathers texture. I then splattered some ink with the paint brush in Flirty Flamingo for added interest.
A shaker card is not complete with sequins and I have added gold, silver and white from the Metallic sequins assortment.
You can see the Stampin' dimensionals for the flamingo and also part of the fun foam used for the shaker window from this angle. The banner has also been mounted with Stampin' dimensionals to give it height. Both the flamingo and banner have been clear heat embossed and by doing this makes the colours even more vibrant and richer.
I hope you have enjoyed my card and found inspiration. The Pop of Paradise set is so much fun and thanks to Tracy's cards CASE, it's made it even more amazing - endless creativity with this set. Thank you so much Tracy for joining us and your creativity is so inspirational. :)
Make sure you continue to hop all the way around and see all the amazing inspiration from the Crazy Crafters team. You are going to love what our team have come up with using Tracy May's cards. Currently you are at my blog - Juana Ambida - so check the list to see who is up next. Enjoy!
