Hello and welcome back! A few weeks ago, I took part in What Will You Stamp Challenge #64 and was the winner of the Rose Wonder stamp set challenge #WWYS64 and as part of winning that challenge I was invited to be part of the design team in this week's What Will You Stamp challenge #67 - You've Got This. I'm so excited to take part and just love this stamp set. I've made a few cards now with this set from CASE'ing Brian King's card and the Crazy Crafters Team Project Highlights, where my card was the selected favourite. Now third time lucky, in a sense to use this set and it's with great anticipation to create something new and this is the card I came up with.
Being third time lucky I thought I would make three flowers and have them in a cluster or a bunch. Don't they just look beautiful grouped together? I first stamped them with black Stazon ink on whisper white cardstock and then watercoloured them using an aqua painter with the lightest touch just to apply the colour without soaking the paper. The colours I used for the flowers are, Watermelon Wonder and the new In Color - Flirty Flamingo and Mint Macaron for the stems and leaves. The stamens is Crushed Curry. The watercolor rendering just adds a soft elegance to them. I have then fussy cut them with my scissors and placed them to best fit. The flower on the back was the first stamped image and then I layered another flower over that to make it look more fuller.
I went with the "You've Got This" sentiment and decided to have this framed and the new layering squares framelits was perfect to achieve this. I have taken the largest square from the layering squares framelits to die cut the window frame. For some added interest I have added a pierced point border around the window frame panel using my piercing tool and the Paper Piercing Pack Essentials that is sadly retired. For the sentiment, I first sponged the whisper white card stock using the mini blending tool applicator with Tempting Turquoise and gradually build up the colour to represent the sky. The sentiment was applied by white heat embossing it. I have used Clear Wink of Stella on the flowers for some shimmer.
I hope you have enjoyed my card project. The You've Got This stamp set is wonderful and that lovely flower alone is so versatile and can go so far, the creativity is limitless. I would love to see what you create with this set so why not take part in the What Will You Stamp Challenge using this gorgeous set, it's so much fun!
Thank you so much for stopping by and hope to see you again soon. Cheers! :)
