Kinda Eclectic - A little kindness goes a long way...

My card was picked as a winner! Yay! :)

Hello and welcome back! I'm excited to share this new card creation that has been inspired by two blog challenges for both layout and colour scheme and here they are respectively.

• Global Design Project #38 Sketch Challenge designed by Teneale Williams

• Pals Paper Arts  PPA 303 - Color Challenge by Shawn de Oliveira

I just love both these challenges as they tremendously helped to create this card!

Deciding on which Stamp set to use was the hardest choice, but thanks to the challenges I was able to narrow it down to the Kinda Eclectic stamp set. I've been wanting to play with this set for sometime and now was the perfect time. The above photo shows the working outs and elements that made up the finished card.

This is the front of the card and as you can see the layout has been inspired by Global Design Project Sketch Challenge - Thank you Teneale. :) The cardstock used is Night of Navy, an A2 side folding card.

I have made a window panel reflecting the sketch challenge by using a window sheet cut to the same size as the front panel of the A2 card and stamped the sentiment "A little kindness goes a long way" in white Stazon opaque ink.

The dotted images has been stamped repeatedly and this is done by using the new MISTI tool. It's just the perfect tool for this kind of multi stamping and gives you the perfect placement and perfectly stamped images. I took it a step further by clear heat embossing the stamped image to give it that raised textured surface and really adds interest to the card front. I have then cut this to size to fit alongside the sentiment as a framed panel.

The butterfly image is also from the Kinda Eclectic set and was added at the end as it made the perfect embellishment and follows on with the sunburst image.  I have used the both the Elegant and Bitty Butterfly punch to cut them out and layered accordingly reflecting the colors of the PPA challenge.
I have used vellum for the smaller butterfly as it adds a soft translucent layering. I then added a Night of Navy candy dot as an accent on the butterfly and ties with the card stock. The butterfly is also repeated on the inside mirroring the front and have used Mint Macaron cardstock to change it up.

This is how the card looks inside.

The leaf and sunburst collage panel has been inspired by the PPA color challenge and thanks to Shawn de Oliveira for the great color choice! :)

I just love this leaf image from the Kinda Eclectic set and love it so much that I have used it on my blogpage as a design element. The panel has been created by using the colors from the challenge, using a mini blending tool applicator to apply the colors gradually from dark to light. I have used Whisper White cardstock and have shaded it in with Night of Navy, Sahara Sand, and Mint Macaron, so that no white is showing. I then stamped the leaf images in the matching colors randomly creating this collage layering.

The sunburst image has been white heat embossed and wanted to show it shining through to break up the colour space. All the elements have been arranged and designed to maximise the sentiment on the front. I have added a Whisper White panel on the left hand side where the personal message would go. I then added a strip of Dazzling Diamonds glitter paper as an accent border and gives a nice professional sparkle finished edge don't you think?

I 'm happy with way it turned out and so unique, the challenges truly helped in giving a sense of direction with design. I hope you have enjoyed my card and have been inspired. For more inspirations please check out the creative projects on both the Global Design Project and Pals Paper Arts and feel free to join in the fun.

Thank you so much for stopping by and hope to see you again soon. Cheers! :)
