Memories in the making... Global Design Project #35 : Theme Project Life by Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome back. I'm excited to share with you Project Life by Stampin' Up! I thought I would give it a go and take part in this week's Global Design Project #35 - Theme: Project Life. It's such a great way to keep your photos and memories in an album that you can decorate and personalise and be as creative as you want.

For this project I have used:

• Happiness is Project Life Kit and Accessory pack - 135307 (Clearance Rack)
• Happiness is Project Life Accessory Pack - 135309 (Clearance Rack)
• Memories in the Making Project Life Specialty Card Collection (Retired - Sale-A-Bration)
• Kraft 6" X 8" Project Life Album - 139655
• Variety Pack 6" X 8" Project Life Photo Pocket Pages - 135297
• Project Life Cards & Labels Framelits Dies - 135707
• Project Life Memories In The Making Photopolymer Stamp Set - 140743

Stamps Used:

• Remarkable You Clear-Mount Stamp Set - 139894
• You Little Furball - 134150

New Products:

• Swirly Scribbles Thinlits Dies - 141497
• Peekaboo Peach Ink

I have decorated the front of my album in the same Kraft paper/card and used the leaves from Remarkable You. I printed a photo of myself on vellum and used the Project Life cards and labels framelits dies to cut a window and placed on top of that a widow sheet frame from Memories in the Making Project Life Specialty card collection.

This is the front cover... the panel is only adhered semi permanently as it's a work in progress. :)

Inside the album, I have inserted a self portait in my ideal world lol which I painted in watercolour. I just love Gansai Tambi watercolours. I have scanned it from the original and printed it to fit. It's been segmented in the allocated pockets and gives it a fun look. I have also overlayed a window sheet with the gold dots from Memories in the making Project Life specialty card collection as an accent.

This is the main spread... my cute cat Tully.

He's such a gorgeous cat and is a rescue kitten when I got him.

Being a cat theme I have used You Little Furball for the cute cat and used the rest of the Project Life supplies as listed above. There is also Gorgeous Grunge for the scratch marks which I just adore and it's been gold heat embossed.

The gold die cut swirl is from Swirly Scribbles dies in the new catalogue and just goes so well with the swirl image from Memories in the Making. The colour scheme is taken from the Project Life Kits to keep it uniform. The peach colour is the new In-color - Peeka Boo Peach on the swirls.

As you can see, Project Life can be anything you want that is meaningful to you. For me it has become an Art Journal and will also incorporate photos along the way. The Project Life kits are also perfect to make cards and you can make your own as I have done.

I hope you enjoyed my Project Life example and have been inspired to give it a go. Happiness is Project Life card collection and accessory pack is a great starting point as it's on the clearance rack and you get so much out of it and a great value for money!

For more inspirations please check out the wonderful examples over at Global Design Project: Project Life theme. Hopefully you can join in the fun too!

Thank you for stopping by and hope to see you again soon. Cheers! :)

The albums are a great way to document aspects of our lives and art is a main one for me and of course it's always evolving and that's the great thing with Project Life can be adaptable. Yes love them to bits like my babies lol. Hope your kitty is doing well. It's always a pleasure and great inspirations there. :)
