You've Got This - Crazy Crafters Blog Hop - CASEing Brian King

Hello and welcome to another Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with a special guest. This month we are hopping with the illustrious and wonderful Brian King! I have had the pleasure in making Brian's acquaintance through participating in the Global Design Project and he's been such a wonderful and kind person to leave such positive and uplifting feedback - it makes it so rewarding to play along every week. As part of this blog hop we are CASEing one of Brian's cards. I was influenced by two of his fabulous cards and wanted to combine both into one and here they are.

Both of these great cards are taken from Brian's blog: http://stampwithbrian.com/page/22/
They both appear on the same page, so it made an easy reference. Stamp set used are Timeless Textures & You've Got This.

What I love about these two is cards is not only do they look great but the design is almost interchangeable with the fantastic framing. Just by changing up the stamp image and sentiment gives you an entirely new look. I also love the stamp sets Brian has used and also Brian's clever idea to use the Timeless Textures set to make your own DSP.

This is my card showing the influences from both cards. This was such a fun card to make and quite a refreshing change, as I normally just use one or two layers at most. It's like a collection of mini artworks framed and layered in an aesthetically pleasing way. The completed card feels sturdy and robust thanks to the reinforced framing and quality of the products make it look amazing!

To change it up, I have chosen to use blushing bride as the main colour scheme with the exception of pear pizzazz and daffodil delight that are used on the flower. I have followed the same process as Brian with creating the flower by stamping on the relevant coloured card and fussy cutting it out. For my flower, I have mounted it on with Stampin' dimensional to raise it up. In Brian's fashion, I have used the Timeless Textures set, to use as my own custom made DSP and appears pretty much on each panel. To do something different, I have white heat embossed the flourish image just to give some interest in the background. It's such a great set and gives an instant vintage and nostalgic feel to the card.

I have also used the sentiment from the same set and love how it is conveyed symbolically in the flower blooming out of the frame that "Good things are going to happen"... This has been white heat embossed on basic black card and the frame is made using the Tags and Label framelit dies and placed to best advantage.

I have decorated the inside of the card by carrying over the same elements and built up layers with the Timeless Textures tone on tone stamping.  I hope my case card is on par with the Brian's great cards and hope you have found some inspiration as I certainly have.

Make sure you continue to hop all the way around and see all the amazing inspiration from the Crazy Crafters team. You are going to love what our team have come up with using Brian's cards. Currently you are at my blog - Juana Ambida - so check the list to see who is up next. Enjoy!
