Crazy Crafters April Blog Hop with special guest Dawn Griffith

Welcome to the Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with our Special Guest stamper Dawn Griffith

This month we are excited to CASE (Copy And Selectively Edit) any project that has been created by Dawn.

We hope you find great inspiration from the projects.

You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog or may have come from the person previous to me.

Be sure to click on the person listed under me further down the page to continue your journey on this blog hop.

It's so exciting to have Dawn with us today and showcasing our inspired card designs from her gorgeous collection. I have watched so many of her Youtube video tutorials and have learnt so many great tips and techniques along the way and inspired me to not only use the great products but to also join Stampin' Up! :)

I have been so inspired that I have CASED two card projects that Dawn has made:

Box of Note Cards and One Sheet Wonder!

I love both of these projects as they not only look spectacular but you can maximise your designer series paper in One Sheet Wonder and they both make an awesome package for your Note Cards.

Here are my inspirational take on Dawn's amazing card projects...

Box of Note Cards with Rose Wonder bundle

One Sheet Wonder with Botanical Garden Suite

The Box Note of Cards is a fabulous project to make as you have this wonderfully package set of note cards that you can give as gift and makes an adorable personalised stationery set.

I have used the Rose Wonder set and have been inspired by Dawn's colour choice of Melon Mambo, just love this bright and vibrant colour. To match this colour I have taken the diagonal stripe pattern from It's My Party DSP which Dawn has used as well. It's such a bright and bold design and wanted to carry that theme on this project. The Box of note cards can fit four cards and are slightly smaller than the regular A2. I have made a Thank you card in this project and just by changing the sentiment it can be used for any occasions. The great thing with the Rose Wonder set is that it has several sentiments that you can use from Weddings, Birthdays and Sympathy. It's such a great all round bundle and as you can see I have used the gorgeous rose die cut flower and label. I have stamped the rose image in the inside of the card and on the front flap of the envelope as well so it ties the whole design together. The envelope was made using the Envelope Punch board and it's great addition to make custom made envelopes to fit any size card.

For full instructions and measurements please take a look at Dawn's page:

The One Sheet Wonder is another fabulous project as you can utilise a whole sheet of 12"x12" DSP and I have literally used all of it and still had a few pieces left that I have die cut small flowers with that can be used for another project or as embellishments hehe. I love this idea from Dawn and doesn't it look smart to have all your note cards and envelopes packaged so beautifully. Don't you just love the belly band? - it's a great finishing touch. For this project I have used the Botanical Gardens DSP and embellished it with the gorgeous tropical flower from the same set. The 'Many Thanks' sentiments is from Another Thank You set and it's just an appropriate greeting as it not only sincere but it also contains Many Thanks cards inside hehe. There is four note cards and envelopes inside and have used the Kraft card stock - just love this brown earthy look. The envelope has been made using the envelope punch board, it came in so handy.  As you can see I have used all of the DSP on this project from the smallest detail on the flower stamens, to the small flowers inside each note card as well the strip to tie everything together and even on the tag labels! I still had smaller flowers left over too which I will be used for another project. :)

For full instructions and measurements please click here for Dawn's page where she has a great step by step video tutorial as well for this awesome project.

It's been so much fun making both these projects and always learn something new every
time I watch Dawn's fabulous video tutorials. Thank you so much Dawn! I love all your wonderful projects and it's so great that you also share them with us. You're a star and a legend! :)

    1. Thank you so much Satomi. I was thinking of trimming the leaves so it would fit but then it would be such a waste to, so just left it as is and show the whole flower in it's full glory hehe. Luckily Dawn's box was the perfect size too. :)
