World Autism Awareness Day blog hop

Hello and welcome. Happy World Autism Awareness Day! It's such an honour to be taking part in this wonderful blog hop organised by the lovely Jenny Hall to help raise awareness for Autism. You may have just come from the talented Bronwyn Eastley, and saw her amazing project, and be sure to follow the list of so many talented fellow crafters from around the world at the end of this post to continue seeing everyone's inspirational projects supporting this wonderful cause.

Blue is the colour for Autism and the puzzle piece and light bulb are the symbols and have been highlighted today and will be for the whole month, as April is Autism Awareness month. The card I have made is dedicated to a friend with autism and will be sending this to him and his family. The stamp set I have used is from Altenew - Be Strong. It's a wonderful set, with many wonderful images including the light bulbs and great encouraging sentiments. The puzzle pieces used in the background is from Spellbinbders - Mix'd Media Playtime and has been die cut and inlaid twice. Here is the card...

Ink blending with Ranger distress inks have been applied with a round mini ink blending tool to create the ink blended background, re-activated with water droplets for added texture and highlights. The list of supplies used are listed below.

Copic markers used to colour in the images.
Blues: B24, B21 B18, B16, B12, B000
Greens: YG67, YG63, YG17, YG06, YG03, G24
Reds: RV14 & 0 Colorless blender.

Clear Wink of Stella used over the images and added clear glossy accents to both the light bulbs and pots make them shine and shimmer. All the images have been cut out electronically using Scan 'n' Cut, alternatively can be hand cut out or use the coordinating dies available with this set. To make them pop out even more, they have been mounted with foam dimensionals cut to size where needed.

This is inside the card showing the wonderful sentiment and is so true.  The same images from the front have been incorporated and arranged to best advantage. The sentiments have been stamped and then clear heat embossed and adds a special touch.

I hope this card has been an inspiration and have enjoyed creating this card to help awareness and with loving thoughts for the recipient. Here are some facts for Autism awareness.

Here is a link to allow you to donate directly to the Organization for Autism Research, in an effort to assist individuals living with autism and bring more awareness, in support of World Autism Awareness Day.

Next up on the blog hop is Liz Yuille, I can't wait to see what see has created. The list of names are below, so please be sure to continue to hop around from the list below if you get lost there are so many creative projects that you don't want to miss. Thank you so much for stopping by, until next time - Happy Crafting!
