Creative Circle Design Team Blog Hop - 3D Church

Hello and welcome! We have a fun 3D project to share with you today that the super creative Liz designed and that is a 3D Church.  At first I was daunted on how to make one and first time is always the hardest but was surprised how easily it all came together in the end. It's an awesome project to make with an electronic cutter as it greatly helps to cut out the pieces easily. It's such a great investment getting one. Though with some ingenuity and substitution you could create one manually. Liz has a video tutorial on how to make one and is very beneficial.

Whisper White cardstock was the base for the church structure and have used the Year of Cheer specialty dsp and Champagne foil sheet to dress it up.  I love the combination of the champagne foil with the lovely snowflakes pattern with gold, silver and champagne foil, very elegant.

Other sets used are:
• Starlight Thinlits - rather than a bell, I decided to use what I had on hand and made a Christmas star by die cutting 3 pieces and adhering them back to back to give it that 3D look.
•  At Home with you bundle for the door and greenery.
• Color Theory in Daffodil Delight as the backing for the door, giving a warm glow inside.
• Sleigh Ride Edgelits dies (retired) for added detail to the village scene.

To go inside the church, I have made a pop up card in a box using both the Hearts Come Home set and Hometown Greetings edgelit dies to create a snowy, glittery village scene that features the church. It perfectly coordinates using the same  supplies with the added touch of glimmer paper and the gold Foil Snowflake for some decoration.

The sentiments are from Hearts Come Home set and have been gold and silver embossed on vellum and adhered with two small silver brads. I have also added the same champagne Star on the church spire which fits perfectly within the brad. Crumb Cake cardstock is the base and is a great neutral colour that coordinate well. This card in a box has been entered in Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge - Icy Inspiration.

I hope you have enjoyed and have been inspired to try making one or both. The 3D church makes a stunning home decor and would look great with an electronic tea light inside and have it illuminated at night. Make sure you continue to hop around and see all the wonderful projects for more inspiration. Thank you so much for stopping by and wish a Merry Christmas and Happy Crafting always! :)

  6. I love challenges! My idea of a traditional holiday - the right way to do it - goes back to the days when gift-giving meant sharing homemade things: hand-knit sweaters, carved wooden toys, smoked meats and the like.

I'd add canvas prints featuring art like yours. These artworks will make every guest feel right at home. Robert from Parrot Print Canvas ►► https://www.parrotprintcanvas.com/
