Happy Halloween - Believe in Magic Shadow Box

Hello and Happy Halloween! I have been inspired to create some fun Shadow Boxes using the Halloween theme along with the  cute and adorable Harry Potter inspired stamped images by Sweet Stamp Shop called, Wizards and Magical Friends. I'm a Harry Potter fan and just had to get this set. The Wizard set with Harry Potter has coordinating dies however the Magical Friends currently does not and hoping Sweet Stamp Shop will release them soon as they are a fairly new company. Fortunately, the images are pretty simple to cut out by hand and they are Rubeus Hagrid, Ron Weasly and Luna Lovegood. Harry Potter, Hermoine Granger and the Sorting Hat has been die cut with coordinating dies from the Wizards set.

I have used Jan Brown's shadow box tutorial to create this and you can click here to see her amazing video tutorial on how to make one. Before assembling the shadow box, I have stamped and white heat embossed the random imagery on the panels. It's a bit tricky to work out but just need to work out where the top will go once displayed and work from there, random and best placement is good, just avoid the corners as the image can be covered in the end once it's assembled.

The images have all been coloured with Copic markers and an ink blended background with some water distressing applied with Ranger distress inks for added texture. Both the sentiments have been white heat embossed with the smaller sentiment 'believe in' stamped and white heat embossed on

The front row with Harry Potter and friends have been propped up using an Everday Pop-ups die from Lawn Fawn which is perfect make them stand out and create extra dimension.

The Shadow Box is so much fun to make that I've created another one using the Grand Wizards set also by Sweet Stamp Shop and has coordinating dies. I've created a birthday card using the sentiment from the set and featuring Albus Dumbledore with Fawkes the pheonix.

The layering woodland die cut panel is from Memory Box dies using both the Timberland and Grove Cottage dies. It has been trimmed to fit and creates a stunning woodland backdrop which is adds so much interest to the scene and perfectly frames the sentiment. The same colouring has been done on the images and background.

I hope you have enjoyed and found inspiration. The Shadow Box card is a fabulous 3D project to make as a display piece that is so unique, it brings the images to life. Thank you so much for stopping by, 'til next time - Happy Crafting! :)
