ESAD Eastern Palace Suite Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the ESAD Eastern Palace Suite Blog Hop. Whether you are starting with me or have hopped from visiting Cathy Pinchbeck, you are in for a visual treat as we're showcasing this beautiful new release. It's available in two bundles, the Starter and Premiere and are both great value. Click here to visit my online store.

To show the versatility of this set, I thought I might try a new card in a box fold that is a larger square size. It folds flat and fits in a 15 x 15 cm envelope, that you could custom make and would look great using the gorgeous designer series paper in this suite.

I have utilised the products that are in the bundles including the Eastern Beauty bundle stamp and dies, Tranquil Tide cardstock, Eastern Palace designer series paper and Eastern Gold Vinyl stickers.

The additional items are, Very Vanilla cardstock to coordinate with the patterned paper, vellum, gold emboss and the "Remarkable You" stamp set that's being carried over to the new catalogue yay!

The floral motifs on both the Eastern Palace designer series paper and the gold vinyl stickers became the inspiration on this card. To compliment this, I have used the gorgeous lotus flower from Remarkable You set. They are a perfect pairing as the petals reflect the stylised die cut floral of the Eastern Medallions thinlits dies.

Gold and Tranquil Tide are the main colours to keep with the designer series paper and the gold vinyl stickers.

The sentiment has been gold heat embossed on vellum and die cut out using the Layering Circles framelits dies.

The lotus has also been gold heat embossed on Very Vanilla cardstock. I was tempted to colour them in but wanted to keep to the same colours of gold and green of the papers used.

The back has also been decorated to have space to write a personal greeting. It's clean and simple and the partial die cutting of the flower gives another way to use the dies.

I hope you enjoyed and  found inspiration. The Eastern Palace suite is truly versatile and can create so many wonderful variations using the intricate dies. It also coordinates perfectly with the Layering Circles framelits dies allowing far greater creativity and makes good use of the sets. I was pleased how it all turned out, love the Eastern inspired feel of the suite. Making a card in a box allows so much creativity and a unique representation of the suite.

Now make sure you hop around to see what everyone else has created. Currently you are at my blog Juan Ambida. If you get lost each post has the line up so you can get back on track. Next you are off to see the great projects that Carly Middleton has got to show you.
