Crazy Craftrers Blog Hop with Special Guest Rachel Tessman

Hello and welcome to the Crazy Crafter's blog hop. We are so honoured to have a very special guest the wonderful and talented Rachel Tessman from the U.S. joining us. As part of the hop we get to CASE (Copy and Selectively Edit) any card or project by Rachel.

It was a hard choice, as all her cards and projects are amazing. As it's nearing Easter, I thought it would be great to make something special for the occasion and use one of my favourite sets from the Occasions catalogue.

As as result, I found two gorgeous projects by Rachel using this fabulous bundle and have greatly inspired me to create a fun 3D project.

Here are the projects I have CASED from Rachel... they're so adorable. :)

Both these projects are just amazing and a great way to use the Basket Bunch bundle.

Here are my projects incorporating the elements that Rachel has used on her projects.

I have created a Card in a box pop up and a 3D carrot box chocolate Easter eggs holder using the Cutie Pie Thinlits dies.

This was the original tag made for the carrot box and have later changed it to the one below as it suited the cute bunny that covers up the original sentiment. Both can work as an alternative.

This is all the stamped and coloured images. I have stamped three sets using the MISTI tool as it's more efficient and economical doing it this way and is on hand to make the project and have some left over for future use. Colouring the images is so much fun and the best part is die cutting them out.

Memento Tuxedo black ink has been used to stamp the images and have coloured them in with Copic markers.

These images just look great when they are displayed in a pop up card such as the box card.

Emerald Envy patterned paper from the 2016-2018 In Color DSP stack has been used for the base card and not only is it sturdy enough to hold everything in place, it's also double sided and can use it to great effect. I have a template available to make this card and it's quite easy to make once you get the hang of it. The great thing is it folds flat and fits in both an A2 and C6 envelope. Just have to ensure that nothing sticks out over the back panel.

I have also decorated the back and included the cute bunny with his basket and carrot along with the row of Easter eggs from the front. I have used the sentiment from Suite Saying stamps and it suits the occasion for well wishes.

Here are a few more photos of the Cutie Pie Thinlits dies made into a carrot box chocolate Easter eggs holder.

Cardstock used is Pumpkin Pie. The Cutie pie thinlits die is so versatile and makes the cutest little favors or treat boxes that can be used for any celebratory occasion.

The cut out window feature is just great in this die, as it allows you to see the goodies inside. I have used Window sheets and gives a smart and neat finish. Best to use wrapped chocolates/confectionary or have them in a plastic bag to keep them sanitary. :)

As mentioned before this is the updated version with the newer sentiment. The brown (Crumb Cake cardstock) tag is from the Tags and Labels framelits dies and the white penant tag with the sentiment is from Gift Card Envelope and Trim thinlits dies. You can easily make one without having this die.

This is the back of the box. I have just tied Emerald Envy ruched ribbon to replicate a stylised carrot top. Tying a bow took some time lol as takes practice but got there in the end. The linen thread or twine is the best and very forgiving hehe. The box has been sealed using Tear and Tape on the edges.

I hope you have enjoyed and found inspiration. It was such a pleasure CASEing Rachel's gorgeous projects and allowed me to make use the sets on hand in a creative way and get more use out of them. The Basket Bunch bundle is truly versatile and is a winner with the cutesy images and the coordinating dies brings them to life. Perfect for Spring imagery! :)

Make sure you continue to hop around and see all the wonderful projects made by the Crazy Crafters team that are sure to inspire. Just follow the line up below and enjoy!

Thank you for stopping by and hope to see you next time. Happy Crafting! :)
