IN THIS WORLD by Stampin' Up!® - Clear Mount - 142652

To celebrate World Card Making Day, I have made three cards to show the versatility of this fabulous set and the title of the set is just fitting for this event.

The door and butterfly resemble blue print sketches and have created a kind of mini art journal utilising all the images and sentiments from the set.

Here they are...

1. How Do You Accomplish Anything In This Life? By CRAFT.

This card has become a mini art journal as the images from the set are like blue prints. As a result, the sentiment came about as it's all intrinsic of designing and the planning process hence Craft. To achieve mastery in the craft.

I have also been wanting to use the Labeler  Alphabet set and this was the perfect opportunity to create a custom made sentiment. I love Graphic Design and Typography and this card shows all those influences and created handmade craftiness with the help of this set.

The images have been coloured in using an Aqua Painted and I then went over with coloured pencils to compliment the sketched look especially the door. They have also been fussy cut out. I have added glossy accents over the images to give it the extra dimension and also adds depth.

The keys have been tied with the basic black baker's twine.

The white heat emboss just gives another design feature and creates interest.

Inside the card I have added 'Craft' in gold heat emboss complimenting the beautifully crafted chair.

 2. You're The Kind of Person Who Makes A Positive Difference In This World...

The sentiment used is from the set and I have white heat embossed this on vellum, as I love the sheer overlayed look. The door panel is a left over piece of the ink blended Aurora from the Santa's Sleigh pop and twist card I made previously. Fortunately, it was just the right size and a great way to use up the leftover. The door has been white heat embossed over the top and has been fussy cut and then mounted on Stampin' dimensionals to give it that raise.

The card panel has been trimmed to show the texture image on both the left and bottom edges in Smoky Slate and coordinates with the card panel.

I have fussy cut out the butterfly in vellum and placed on the door so that the colours underneath can show through.

The card layout has been inspired by Stamp Ink and Paper Challenge #67 - Sketch Challenge. The stamped door and sentiment on vellum was my take using the Sketch below and this follows through to the inside of the card.

Please be sure to check out the creative projects from both  the design team and the entries and hopefully you'll be inspired to join in the fun too.

The same layout from the front has been followed through to the inside of the card. Using the other sentiment and chair image.

3. Happiness

This card sums up this whole set - giving me Happiness in using it.

The layout once again is a mini art journal using the butterfly sketch.

The front card panel has a window die cut using the Tags and Labels framelits, so that the stamped butterfly inside can be seen.

The Happiness sentiment has been stamped on Silver foil sheet using Black Stazon ink and is on a die cut tag using the Bunch of Banner framelits. It gives it that perfect frame.

Another embellishments used on the panel is the Smoky Slate Stitched Ribbon and coordinately perfectly with the cardstock.

  1. WOW Juana! Those colours and the layouts all laid against the grey just make everything come to life. I adore how you have lifted everything up by fussy cutting around each focal point. As always your card fronts are so inviting, they make a person WANT to open it to find the insides are just as divine as the card fronts
