Hello and welcome back. Today's card has been created and entered in Case this Card Challenge #CTC006. Kim Oliver's gorgeous watercolour card below is the card to CASE.
The Merry Mice set is just perfect for watercolouring and have used the two larger mice in the set.
The singing mice has been watercoloured in using Gansai Tambi watercolors as it's such a lovely pigmented colour and so vibrant. The colours have been diluted to give it a soft watercolor finish.
Arches 185gsm medium watercolour paper has been used and have stamped the image with black Stazon ink to withstand watercolouring.
'Wishing You A Festive Season!', has been white heat embossed on basic black card stock and mounted with dimesionals.
For embellishments, I have used Garden Green and Gold baker's twine and tied a bow to go underneath the sentiment panel. I have added a few silver metallic enamel shapes to accentuate the snowflake and added a star for sparkle.
This panel has been mounted on fun foam for an even raise and adhered to the card base.
The card base is Crumb Cake, top folding measures, 10.5cm (w) x 15cm (h).
I have made a custom background by multi stamping the sentiment 'Making Spririts Bright' from the Tin of Tags set in Whisper White Craft ink. It jazzes up the background and and a great way to get more out of your stamps.
Inside the card, The mice holding the ornaments and the sentiment from Tin of Tags, 'Spread Some Christmas Cheer', has been used. The same method of stamping and a loose watercoloring has been done.
I hope you enjoyed this card and found inspiration. Please be sure to check out the other entries at Case this Card challenge and it would be great if you could also join in and share your creativity. Love to see them. :)
Thank you so much for stopping by and hope to see you next time. Happy Crafting! :)
