Jar of Love - Best Fishes

Hello and Happy Friday! Today's card has been inspired by a dear friend Kim Oliver who sent me a gorgeous card for my birthday. It features the Jar of Love set and has the cute goldfishes in the jar.

Here is Kim's gorgeous card:

I love everything about this card and especially that Kim has made it and you can see the love and care that when into making it. Please click here to view Kim's post at her blog.

My card has also been influenced by two card challenges:

Global Design Project #42 - Sketch challenge by Teneale Williams

Pals Paper Arts - Color Challenge by Brian King

Yay! my card was picked as one of the winners for #PPA307. :)

Please check out both card challenges for the creative projects and be inspired.  Love for you to join in the fun!

Here is my card:

Thanks to Kim's card inspiration, I wanted to try out the window shaker card using the jar image and framelits with a cute goldfish and the two card challenges was the best of both worlds for colour and layout.

As you can see, I have followed the same layout from #GDP042 sketch challenge and used the mini jar as the focal image. The goldfish is actually mounted on the outside of the jar, and the sequins are inside. The circle is from the new Layering Circles framelits and the has been made as the shaker window frame with the jar inset. I have used fun foam underneath for an even raise and die cut the jar making sure it lines up.

The colours are in keeping with the PPA307 Color Challenge. The fun blue and white dot pattern that I have used on the back is from the Floral Boutique DSP and reminded me of bubbles and is Night of Navy which was perfect to use. The little hearts are also from the Jar of Love bundle and that has been die cut in Real Red cardstock.

The inside of the card I have kept very simple with just having the same jar with the goldfish and tied a bow with linen thread. I hope you have enjoyed this card and found inspiration. The Jar of Love bundle is such a fun and fabulous set and you can create the most cutest of cards with. I have also entered this card in tonight's Crazy Crafters Team Project Highlights. Please check out the team's creative projects and vote for your favourites. :)

Thank you so much for stopping by and hope to see you next time. Cheers! :)
