International Stampin' Up! Blog Hop - Highlighting Retiring Products

Welcome to our International Blog Hop highlighting some of our favourite products that are retiring. We are sure that you will find some incredible inspiration from the projects that you are about to see.

You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog - Juana Ambida or may have come from the person previous to me in the list. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects. At the moment you are visiting Juana Ambida. I live in Australia. If you live in Australia and were wanting to purchase some Stampin' Up!® Products I am happy to help you.

I'm showcasing the Nice Cuppa Bundle and it's such a shame it's retiring. It's such a great set and has so many possibilities. I have used this set on several occasions and recently for Mother's Day, click here for the example of the nice cuppa. For this highlight, I have made five different cards out of the one set and by mixing it with other stamp sets, really enhances the set and the theme of the card. It's Tea Time!

Retiring products that I have used:

• A Nice Cuppa Photopolymer Stamp Set • 140683
• Cups & Kettle Framelits Dies • 140624
• Have A Cuppa Designer Series Paper Stack • 140567
• Going Places Designer Series Paper Stack  • 140581
• Circle Card Thinlits Dies • 133480
• Little Letters Thinlits Die • 133730
• It's My Party Enamel Dots • 140554
• Typeset Specialty Designer Series Paper • 133704

Paired up sets:

• Watercolor Wishes Card Kit • 140406
• Endless Thanks Photopolymer Stamp Set • 138796
• Circle Of Spring Photopolymer Stamp Set • 138964
• First Sight Clear-Mount Stamp Set • 140688
• Bloomin' Love Photopolymer Bundle • 140818
• Bermuda Bay 1/8" Stitched Ribbon • 140569

I love tea and coffee and this is what drew me to this fabulous set. For this example I have focused on the tea cup and kettle to showcase the versatility of the set with the colourful designer series paper. The Have a Cuppa designer series paper is bright and cheery, and the main colours are Wisteria Wonder, Melon Mambo and Bermuda Bay. The colour coordination has all been done for you in the set. I have used the dsp in a way to show the most contrast so that they don't look too busy or compete with one another other.

On this card I have used the Have a Cuppa dsp and die cut both the letters tea cups. The tea cups have been stacked up on top of each other and with the cute tea bag hanging out using whisper white bakers twine. The letters are from Little Letters thinlits dies and the flowers are from Bloomin' Love bundle. I have also used the It's My Party Enamel Dots on the flowers.

This card has been paired with Circle Of Spring & First Sight set for the florals as well as the flowers from Bloomin' Love bundle. Both the wreath and banner has been watercolored with the aqua painter in Bermuda Bay and Melon Mambo.

This is a vintage style card, thanks to the use of the Typeset Specialty Designer Series Paper and the doily. I will miss this dsp as it's sadly retiring. The teacups have been stamped and white heat embossed with the flourish from First Sight stamp set. The sentiment is from Watercolor Wishes Kit and just love the fonts on the sentiments. I have also used the Bermuda Bay 1/8" Stitched Ribbon for the bow.

This card features the fabulous Have a cuppa dsp and the gorgeous sentiment from Watercolor Wishes kit. By choosing contrasting dsp and scale of the design makes for a balanced harmonious layout. Using white make this clean and simple and where your eyes can rest. Don't you just love the teabag and the enamel dots? Melon Mambo is vibrant.

Lastly, this card uses the Circle Card thinlits Dies, which unfortunately is retiring. I really love this circle flip card with the additional flap, as you can utilise the dsp and gives you some direction on how to decorate it with the given panels. To make the dsp work, I have taken only one dsp that is picture heavy and the rest monochromatic to add contrast. The base card is Bermuda Bay and this helps offset the colours. The kettle uses the dsp from Going Places and have chosen black as it's neutral and makes it pop. I love the script handwriting on it as well as it adds interest.

I couldn't agree with the sentiment more, "There's always time for tea", and that has been stamped with StazOn black ink and clear heat embossed to give it a further shine, which is hard to see on the photo. This set also comes with utensils and cutlery dies so would come in handy to make a tea party or dinner invitation set. The teaspoons have been die cut on silver foil paper, to give it a realistic look. The rest of the sentiments have been white heat embossed.

I hope you enjoyed seeing my project, It's a wonderful set and it's available till 31st May, so don't miss out and be sure to order before it's gone for good.
